Several good LHAC performances in the Loughborough International:
Katarina Johnson-Thompson set a new PB (and wind-legal Club Record) to win the Long Jump, with a leap of 6.46m (+0.6m/s), ahead of Olympian Jade Johnson.
In the 100m Hurdles, run into the wind, Ashley Helsby was second in 13.74, with Kat 3rd in 13.84.
Jack Meredith's 110m Hurdles was also run into the wind, but he recorded his second best ever time of 14.02 to come 4th.  Richard Baderin clocked 15.14 in an invitation 110mH.
Olly Back was another to suffer a headwind, winning one of the 100m races with 10.84secs.
Martin Lipton ran a season's best of 53.12secs in one of several classy 400m Hurdles events, and James Hunter clocked 49.19 in a flat 400m.
Finally... what a run from Alex Boyce, setting a new PB 400m time of 47.69secs to beat his previous best clocked in last year's World Youth Games.. and he is not yet 18 years old!

The BMC Nike Grand Prix meeting at SportCity resulted in lots of fast times:
800m   Steve Morrow 1:53.71
Jamie Webb 1:57.44 (finishing very strongly for a new PB by 3 seconds!)
Rebecca Linney 2:07.54 (winning "B", shame she wasn't in the "A" race)
1500m Harry Harper 3:44.65 PB
Dan Mooney 3:44.83 PB (passed by Harry one metre out!)
Matt Shirling (U17) 3:52.38 PB (bravely staying just ahead of a big bunch)
Len Steers has spotted that this is a Club U17 Record - surpassing Steve Johnson's 3:52.9 dating from 1989.
5000m Ben Russell 14:53.15 PB (by over a minute - about time too!)
Mat Jackson 15:46.26 (his first 5000m this year - bet he didn't enjoy it)
