Having been away for nearly two weekends – catching up has been done – I think!!

During the weekend of Sat 12th and 13th October the National Road Relays took place at Sutton Park. On Saturday the Men had two teams who finished 19th and 47th respectively. Results. Earlier in the day our Senior Women had competed and finished 18th and 49th respectively. Results.

On the Sunday, our U13 Girls finished brilliantly in 2nd place and the ‘B’ team finished 15th place. In the U15 Girls race the two teams finished 10th and 59th respectively. The U17 Women finished 11th. The under 13 Boys had an incomplete team due to athletes committed to the dreaded game of football!!. Its such a pity as Max Brame had the 3rd fastest leg of the day in a time of 13:51 and the other athlete being Joshua Lowe. The Under 15 Boys finished in 17th place, less than 3 minutes down on the winning team. Again the U17 Men were disappointing in having an incomplete team with Tom Clarke and Elliot Colman being the only two available. The schools meeting on the same weekend did not help, however, with some dialogue this will hopefully not occur again. Results

The last weekend of Sat 19th October saw the first league fixture in the Manchester league. Again some of our athletes who turned out did very well. The U13 Girls dominated their event with 5 teams finishing in 1st, 2nd, 6, 7th and 17th place. The U15 Boys also won their team event. Things are looking good already for our XC season with the Northerns in January at Knowsley Safari Park again. Results

This weekend is the first fixtures of the L and D League (Seniors at Arrowe Park) and also on the same day the Mid Lancs XC League at Towneley Park, Burnley where U11′s can also compete.
