On a cold morning 64 club members watched on by friends and family turned up to compete in the annual Liverpool Harriers Christmas Handicap races.

In the U14s race of approx 1.5 miles there were 36 runners. 1st place went to Niath Doneley, 2nd Faith Crossley and 3rd to Tamzin Dentith. Fastest girl on the day was given to Ella McNiven with a time of 9:13 (NOTE: see update below); fastest boy was Max Brame with a time of 8:45.

In the senior race there were 28 competitors completing the 3 mile course. 1st place went to Tom Rogerson, 2nd to Emily Gray and 3rd to Michelle Murphy. Fastest female was Sarah Jarvis with a time of 16:48 and fastest male was Richie Burney with a time of 14:42.

UPDATE – There was an error in the U14 race results with one of the handicap times which meant that the fastest girl on the day was Lucy Miller with a time of 9:10 which narrowly puts Ella into 2nd place. Apologies for the error but well done to everyone who ran, some great times for the cold and windy conditions.
