England Athletics U15/U17 Combined Events Championships

Well done to Anna Rowe who won Gold in the EA U17 Combined Events Championships in Bedford this weekend with a fantastic score of 4992 points. She was 2nd on the day but was awarded the gold due to the other athlete being from EIRE. She also won the Northern title.

British Athletics League – Match 4

The last match in the British Athletics League took place on Saturday at SportCity.

Liverpool finished in 7th on the day which unfortunately was not enough to save us from relegation from the Premiership, but we are sure that we can regain our position in the league again with promotion next year.

Northern Athletics League – Match 4

Results are now available from the 4th match in the Northern League, held at Bebington on Saturday.

Well done to all those who turned out and competed for the club. Despite a few gaps in the events Harriers finished 3rd on the day with 359 points but that enabled us to finish 2nd in the league overall, 1.5 league points behind West Cheshire.

Irish Masters Championships

Congratulations to Liz Egan who won the gold in the V35 3000m race at the Irish Masters Championships in Tullamore on Sunday. Liz won the race in a time of 10:15.65, her fastest time over the distance for 14 years.

She also topped it off with a great bronze medal in the 1500m with a time of 5:06.24

British Triathlon Championships

The British Triathlon Championships were held at the Liverpool Waterfront on Sunday in horrendous weather conditions.

Congratulations to Ian Lawton who finished in a fantastic 21st place overall in the Olympic distance event and 7th in his age category.
