North West Counties Road Relays

It was a great day for the club at the North West Counties Road Relays on Saturday, held at Woodbank Park in Stockport with some great runs across the age groups. Full results are available HERE.

U13 Girls
1st place for the A team (1st in Merseyside) and 19th for the B team (4th in Merseyside). Ella McNiven 2nd fastest leg of the day (1st in Merseyside).

U13 Boys

U15 Girls
1st place for the A team (1st in Merseyside), 7th for the B team (3rd in Merseyside) and 17th for the C team (5th in Merseyside). Faye Ireland 3rd fastest leg of the day (1st in Merseyside).

U15 Boys
3rd place for the A team (1st in Merseyside). Joe Ford fastest leg of the day (1st in Merseyside).

U17 Women
Incomplete team. Danielle Webb 7th fastest leg of the day (1st in Merseyside).

U17 Men
2nd place for A team (1st in Merseyside). Tom Clarke 9th fastest leg of the day (2nd in Merseyside).

Senior Women
4th place for A team (1st in Merseyside), 12th place for B team (2nd in Merseyside). Laura Quine 7th fastest leg of the day (1st in Merseyside).

Senior Men
2nd place for A team (1st in Merseyside), 5th place for B team (2nd in Merseyside) and 12th place for C team (4th in Merseyside). John Ashcroft equal 3rd fastest leg of the day (2nd in Merseyside).


Liverpool Jumps and Throws Competition

The September edition of the Liverpool Jumps and Throws Competition took place at Wavertree on Saturday with a good turnout and some strong performances by club members.

Mike Bomba won both the Discus and the Hammer with throws of 38.20m and 67.72m respectively. Holly Smith took first place in the U17 Long Jump with 5.04m and also first in the U17 Triple Jump with 10.55m. Francis Mulvaney won the U20 Shot Put with 10.54m and Zoe Price won the U15 Shot Put with 10.36m. There was also a win for Michael Madeloso in the U15 Javelin with a throw of 48.95m.

Wirral Multi Terrain Race 2

Race 2 of the Wirral Multi Terrain series took place on Tuesday on the beach near Harrison Drive. Well done to Laura Quine who won the female race in a time of 26:29, with Charlotte Wilson in 3rd in 27:36. In the men’s race Paul Quine was the first Harrier home in a time of 25:44.

The ladies team finished in 2nd place overall and the men in 20th place. Full results are available HERE.

Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon

Congratulations to Jenny Clague who continues her return to fitness with 3rd place in the popular Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon on Sunday.

Jenny ran a time of 81:02 to finish 3rd lady and 42nd place overall. Gareth Howell ran 76:08 to finish in 18th place.

Belfast City Half Marathon

Congratulations to Eddie McGinley who finished an excellent 2nd in the Belfast City Half Marathon on Sunday.

Eddie finished with a time of 67:34, just seconds behind the winner.
