National XC Relays

It was a fantastic day at Berry Hill Park in Mansfield on Saturday with the U13 Girls taking the title in the National Cross Country Relays. It was a good day all round with some strong performances across the age groups, but Katie Miller’s final leg was the highlight of the day as she passed the leading Charnwood runner in the final moments of the race.

Abergele 5

Congratulations to Ricky Challinor who placed 2nd yesterday in the Abergele 5 Mile Road Race. This year’s race incorporated the Welsh 5 Mile Championships and Ricky finished in a time of 25:59 on a notoriously hilly course.

Cheshire 10K

The popular Cheshire 10K took place on Sunday round the country lanes near Arley Hall. Both the male and female course records were broken on the day with Mohammed Abu-Rezeq running 29:11 and Helen Clitheroe finishing in 32:44.

Merseyvend 5K

A strong Liverpool Harriers turnout ensured the top spots were taken in the Merseyvend 5K on Saturday in Halewood. Jamie Webb won the race with a time of 15:42, followed by James McNally (15:48) and Nzimah Akpan (16:06). Sophie Whiteside also took the first lady position in a time of 19:06.
