British Indoor Championships

The British Indoor Championships were held this weekend at the EIS in Sheffield.

Going into the competition as the world’s top ranked heptathlete of 2014, Katarina Johnson-Thompson did not disappoint by not only winning the High Jump title on the first day, she also set a new National Record of 1.97m. You can watch Kat’s fantastic jump on VincoSport (which requires a free registration).

On the second day she competed in the 60m Hurdles where she narrowly missed out on another medal by finishing 4th with a personal best time of 8.25s. You can watch her race here.

In other events, huge congratulations to John Ashcroft who ran a great race to pick up a bronze medal in the 1500m with a time of 3:52.48. You can watch John’s race here.

Well done to the three other athletes who qualified to compete in the championships, including Jamie Webb in the 800m, Oliver Back in the 60m and Craig Jones in the Long Jump.
