Walton Park 5 Mile

Well done to Sarah Howard who was first placed lady in the Walton Park 5 Mile race on Tuesday in a time of 29:31. Ian Moran was 3rd overall and 1st V35 with 26:57 and Michelle Murphy was 1st V50 with 34:55.

Christleton 5K

The popular Christleton 5K took place on Friday night with a number of senior athletes looking to run fast times on the recently remeasured course.

First Harrier home was Ryan Whiston with a PB of 15:51 to finish 26th overall.

Great Manchester Run 10K

The biggest 10K in Europe took place on Sunday, live on the BBC. After a warm up and drills with fellow countryman and three time Olympic Champion, Kenenisa Bekele, Degene Gezimu placed an excellent 9th in a very strong field to cross the line in 30:41. Club mate Charla Hassen finished 59th in 34:18.

Loughborough International

The 58th Loughborough Home International was held on Sunday at the Paula Radcliffe Stadium.

YDL – Lower Age

The lower age group of the Youth Development League travelled to Preston on Saturday for their second match of the season in the Northern Premier 1 division where they stand in 4th place after the opening meeting.
