ATHLETE OF THE YEAR – 2005

 ANYIKA ONOURA

Anyika joined the club in February 2001.  In her early years at the club, she was coached by Stan Roberts and quickly established herself as a promising junior sprinter.   In 2003, she changed her coach to Maurice Condon and continued to make very good progress.  During the past season she has had success at both area and national level and has represented Great Britain at under 23 level and England at senior.

Anyika has just been informed that she has been selected to represent England next year in the Commonwealth Games 4 x 100m relay.
