I hope you are well, survived the wet winter and looking forward to
running in the sunny conditions, on the one fine day in the year !!
Although we have a large squad we had great difficulties getting people
out when it really mattered. In
the local leagues we were fairly dominant and in the local Liverpool &
District League championships we looked awesome, but we were badly let down
during the real championship season by many of our senior athletes and finished
a disappointing 16th in the Northern XC and 42nd team in
the National XC, beaten by many jogging clubs
!! Thanks to
those who turned out but I am sure
we can do better, when it comes up to the relays.

The
Northern Road Relay is at Stockports Woodbank Park on Saturday 6th
April beginning at 11-30am. For the
first time we need 12 runners all running the same distance of
4.25 miles, there are no long legs this year.
The National Road Relay is at the home of road relays, Sutton Park on
Saturday 27th April where we will need 6 long legs and 6 short legs.
To
prepare for this we have the Haigh Hall relays on Saturday 23rd
March, this year beginning at 11-30am.
[ This is to avoid a clash with a wedding ] The legs are around 3 ½ miles and we can
enter as many teams as we wish. Costs
are £10 per team which means £2-50 per runner. I aim to enter
2/3 teams up front out of my account and thus all runners need to pay up
on the day !!

please let us know of your current form we aim to pick the 12 stage
team on Thursday 28th
March to enable us to send information around to all members of the squad.
