Northern Men's League - Lancaster

Saturday 6th July 2002

The Senior Men's second team were depleted by athlete's going into the BAL team, however through a lack of communication there was no back fill of other athlete's. This meant that the team ended up with half the required competitors and as a result finished last in 6th place. This was not through lack of effort from the athlete' who tried to fill the gaps. Full results when  known.

North of England X.C. Championships.

Derby - Saturday 26th January 2001

On a wet and miserable day, a coach of lads, girls and parents left Wavertree at 8am for one of the main cross country races of the year. Hopes were high and the lads and girls didn't let us down. It was one of the hardest courses that I have seen in my time, and in some places I would say dangerous. I'm glad I was not the meeting referee.

The older members of the club were running later in the day and the men did not emulate the Senior Ladies result. However they did finish in 16th place.

The athlete's who completed the course were, Richard Burney (43rd), F Groves ( 79th), John McCole (113th), R Cushion (193rd), Neil Chester (196th), B Riley ( 442nd).

Where were all the other's ???
