Directions to Wavertree Athletic Stadium, Liverpool 15.

From the M62 :            At the end of the M62 follow the signs for the City Centre. You are then on Edge Lane Drive.  Within approx 1/2 a mile you come to a set of traffic lights.  (There are two garages on the left hand side, one being  Ian Skelly. Travel straight through the junction to the next set of traffic lights where you must turn left. You are now on Rathbone Road, carry on through the first set of traffic lights to a small round-about, travel straight ahead for about 3/4 mile until you come to a set of traffic lights at a cross-roads.  Carry on straight over the junction into Wellington Road. The entrance to the stadium is approx. 1/4 mile on the left hand side. When you turn into the park area follow the road around to the right, and you should see the stand on the left next to the tennis centre.

From North Wales :             Follow the M53 motorway to the Wallasey Tunnel and towards Liverpool - on leaving the tunnel area follow the signs for the City Centre,  you will be on Scotland Rd (A59). At the second set of traffic lights follow the road to the left up a hill ( John Moores University on your left).  You will come to set of traffic lights where you travel straight on and to another set of traffic lights which again you travel straight on. You should now be on a dual carriageway (New Islington) traveling out of the City Centre. At the next set of traffic lights turn right into Moss St. Travel through the next set of traffic lights into Daulby St and you will see the Royal Liverpool Hospital on your left. You will now need to keep in the left hand lane and at the next  ‘T’ junction turn left into Pembroke Place. You should now be traveling with the back of the Royal Liverpool Hospital on your left. Travel through the next set of  traffic lights and the road veers to the left into Mt. Vernon St. At the next set of traffic lights keep going straight ahead. You will now be on Edge Lane (A 5047) traveling towards the M62.(with two lanes in each direction).  You will travel straight through 3 sets of traffic lights  and be on a dual carriageway. At the next set of traffic lights you should see Halfords on the left and a retail park on the right, with McDonalds on the right of the junction. Travel through the junction, but keep in the right hand side lane, due to the fact you must turn right at the next traffic light junction. You are now on Rathbone Road, the remaining journey is as above from the M62.
