Mixed days results at National XC Relays on Sat 3rd November at Mansfield on a dry but chilly day. The U17 Men continued to excel with runners up place on the day. Matt Shirling cut down the gap to just over 7 seconds from the winners. The U13girls ran well to finish 9th out of 89 complete teams and the U15girls 15th out of 96 teams. The U15boys were 35th and 52 respectively out of 81 teams. Two of the lads in the A team were running under age and were last year part of the winning Northern Rd and XC team. It was nice to see a Junior Women's team who finished 12th out of 26. The Junior men's team were 40th out of 58. Senior Womens teams were entered but DNA on the day? In the Senior Men's team Matt Jackson had a chip issue and poor Harry Harper is shown as doing a lap of over 36 mins. The time would have finished the team in 24th place out of 157

Cross Country Relays Championships 2012 Young Athletes Report
6 th October 2012
It was a tough day for Yorkshire clubs on their home ground as North West clubs made a big impact at Graves Park in young athletes cross country relays.
Under 17 Men
Liverpool Harriers under 17 men made an impressive showing at Leigh last month picking up the Northern road relay title. They carried this momentum into the opening cross country event by adding the cross country relay title to the road relay title. Electing to use the same team as they ran at Leigh, Wriggleswoth led off coming home forth and he was followed by Dan Jarvis who moved them up to second while Matt Shirling 6.49 running the fastest time of the day brought Liverpool home for the title. The same three athletes in the same running order as they used at Leigh for the road relay title. Lincoln Wellington claimed the silver by virtue of Trafford being disqualified Derby AC took the bronze medals
