NoEAA Cross Country Championship
Sherdley Park, St Helens

24 January 2004

 

 

On an initially dry but windy day, many of the club's athlete's competed at the local venue of Sherdley Park, St Helens. The club performed well overall with the Junior Men's title being won by Phil McGlory and Jenny Clague runner up in the Senior Women's race and her team were 3rd overall. Rachel Thompson just missed out on a medal in 4th place in the Under 20 Ladies race. The under 13 boys were third in their age group. Craig Gunderson ran strongly after recent runs in the Reebok Challenge in Belfast and Cardiff to finish 5th in the under 15 boys race.

 

Under 13 Girls

13th  - O Desborough, 25th - M Lungworth, 35 - H Brellisford, 44th - C McDonald, 45th - A Forde, 46th - A Heaton, 47th - S Griffiths, 60th - C McCourt, 100th -  A Lerston, 101st - E Radcliffe, 102nd - S B-Morgan, 10th - S Mallon, 130th C Gaillard.

The team were 4th overall.

 

Under 15 Girls

11th - M Ronan, 41nd - H McManus, 44th - H Nelson, 65th - D Leahy, 92nd - A Blackburn, 104th - S Cray, 113rd - S Atherton, 126th J Brellisford, 144th - M Mousley, 146th -  S Whiteside.

The team were 5th overall

 

Under 17 Ladies

44th - M Adams, 49th - B Hardiman, 50th K Adams, 56th J Pybus, 63rd M King

The team were 6th overall

 

Junior Women

4th - Rachel Thompson, 27th - A Draper, 44th - C Draper.

No team place.

 

Senior Women

2nd - Jenny Clague, 13th - Emma Ford, 22nd - E Edan, 56th - J Rothwell

The team were 3rd overall

 

Under 13 boys

24th - James Toohey, 32nd - Ashleigh Johnson, 35th - Tom Croft, 55th - Phil Leggett, 77th - Elliott Murphy, 121st Mark Watkinson.

The team were 3rd overall

 

Under 15 Boys

5th - Craig Gunderson, 33rd - James McCully, 56th Liam McCully, 61st - Laurie Luscombe, 95th - Harry Harper, 113th - James Russell, 166th - Paul Cummings.

The team were 6th overall

 

Under 17 Men.

 

30th - Mathew Leahey, 35th - Craig Hoy, 57th - John Mannion, 67th - David Catt, 77th - Chris Doherty, 103rd Terry Brady, 105th - Mike Quarless, 109th - David Marteau.

 

The team finished in 5th place.

 

Under 20 Men

1st - Phil McGlory, 39th - Stuart Morland, 52nd - Steve Evans, 60th - Joe Michaelson. 

The team finished in 5th place

 

Senior Men

25th - Richard Burney, 54th - John McCole, 64th - B Murphy, 71st - F Groves, 84th - Simon McKevitt, 128th - A Clarke, 191st - R Cole, 213th - Keith Hatton, 289th - Paul Harrison, 591st G Howell, 602nd - Pat Henley.

 

The team finished in 9th place.
