It is with sadness that we report the passing of Pat Green earlier this week.
Pat passed away aged 93 and had been in a residential home for the last 5-6 years since the death of her husband, Jim.
Pat had many strings to her bow. She was chairman of the UKA junior commission which ran all the GB junior teams and headed up many World and European teams.
Pat was also the women’s referee at the Great North Run and London Marathon and was a highly regarded National Field Official and off track Endurance Official and was a mentor to many.
Pat was originally a member of Liverpool Pembroke and Sefton and latterly Liverpool Harriers and Merseyside AA. She was also chair of North of England AA(now Northern Athletics) and AAA.

12 noon, 20th August at Widnes Crematorium, Cemetery Lodge, Birchfield Rd, Widnes WA8 9EE.
Then onto Cronton Village Holy Family Club, Hall La, Cronton, Widnes WA8 5DH.
