Northern League – Edge Hill Uni – Sun 13th July
At a very warm Edge Hill Uni, a very depleted Northern League team finished fourth, despite everyone chipping in to do multiple events.
Nick Wedderman threw a seasons best in the Discus, just outside his club record and Matty Quine did a huge PB in the HJ.

Stratford Speed GP, London – Sun 13th July
Quite a few of our sprinters made the trip down to the capital on the Olympic warm up track, which is renowned for switching for running with the wind on a very quick track. KJT ran over hurdles and Alec Williamson was the stand out performer knocking chunks off his PBs in 100m and 200m

NAL – Nottingham – Sat 19th July
On a very damp day in Nottingham, we had a much stronger track team and finished third in the match, very close to catching York in second. The hosts won the match, with Sale and York entering the playoffs

Diamond League – London – Sat 19th July
KJT competed in the Diamond League in the long jump, finishing 8th with 6.48m
YDL Lower – Bebington – Sun 20th July
Yet again, Bebington was blighted by bad weather with thunder and lightening causing the U13G Javelin to be abandoned and the Relays ran in atrocious conditions.
The good news was that Liverpool won by 100pts on the day to confirm their place in the National Finals at Wavertree in September.

World University Games –Bochum, Germany – Mon 21st July
Congratulations to Nick Wedderman, who was selected to represent GB over in Germany. Unfortunately Nick failed to qualify after a mediocre first round throw of 44.49m and then two fouls
EA Senior & U20 Champs Inc combined events & Para- Birmingham – Fri 25th – Sun 27th July
We picked up three medals at the EA senior champs and paras with KJT winning bronze in the HJ with 1.78m and a silver in the 200m
Elliott Griffiths impressed in the para LJ, winning a bronze medal(he’s still U17…). In doing so he was the leading T20 athlete in this event in all age groups.
Josh Patino improved to 48.17 over 400m

Northern League – Bebington – Sat 2nd Aug
Much better numbers turned out for the last match of the season over in Bebington and despite some issues with the scoring, the team won the match by a handful of points over hosts Wirral.
Wirral are promoted to the top division, with Liverpool finishing in third place.

UK Champs – Birmingham – 2nd-3rd August
Just four athletes elected to compete in the UK championships. Sam Lunt, returning from a hamstring issue finished 5th in the 400mh. Catherine Blakeman(new member) failed to get through qualifying, whilst Nick Wedderman finished 6th in the Discus and KJT was 5th in the javelin and 8th in the shot.
EA U15/U17 Champs including combined & Para – Birmingham – 8th – 10th Aug
Congratulations to Kristen Badrock on winning a bronze medal in the U15G Javelin, breaking her own club record with a throw of 39.18m
Daisy Roberts also improved her own U17W PV record to 3.27m and Elliott Griffiths won the Para 100m and LJ

BMC GP – Trafford – Sat 9th August
Two stand out performances at Trafford were Holly Cross, who smashed her 1500m PB in 4:24.40 and yet another PB from Jack O’Farrell, who improved to 3:41.29 over 1500m

Congratulations to Amy Thompson who has been selected to represent GB in the World Para Champs in New Delhi. Amy will be competing in the F41 shot put.
F41 is a category for athletes with short stature
Jon-Jo Doherty
Jon-Jo Doherty showed he is in good form winning the Preston 5 miler and then the Birchwood 5k



FF Games, Budapest
Congratulations to Holly Cross, who won silver in the 800m and gold in the 1500m at the FF games.
The FF Games is the Catholics Schools championships in which Holly represented GB Catholic Schools
