Facilities

Liverpool Harriers compete in 5 track and field leagues – BAL, UKWL, Northern League, YDL Upper and YDL Lower. We also enter teams for cross country and road racing and our youngsters compete in SportsHall.

We are based in Wavertree in the South of Liverpool.

Facilities Wise:

We have an 8 lane synthetic track, (re-laid in Summer 2017) with floodlights.

The main stand is covered and is on the home straight. There are grass banks at both ends of the track where tents can be pitched.

The far side backs on to the local park which is ideal for distance runner’s preparation.

The club has indoor facilities for training. A four lane warm up track, a throwing circle and netting, a pole vault area, a long jump pit and a high jump area.

There is a large clubhouse on site with two levels and a PA system and small kitchen area selling hot and cold drinks and confectionary

There is a large car park.

For those travelling from outside the area:

Car/coach – take the M62 to the end and travel down Edge Lane. Turned left immediately after B&Q – signposted. Go across the mini roundabout and through the next traffic lights. The entrance is on the left hand side.

Train – nearest station is Wavertree Technology Park (3/4 mile)

Mainline train stations – City Centre (3miles), Liverpool South Parkway (4 miles)
