Tim Duckworth smashes LHAC Decathlon & Long Jump records

Specs Town Decathlon, USA

Congratulations to Tim Duckworth who had a terrific Decathlon meeting over in the USA. Tim added over 500pts to take Peter Glass’ Liverpool Harriers Decathlon record with a score of 8145pts.

That score would have been good enough to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games and is a European Championship qualifier. Tim moves to fourth in the UK all time list.

In addition to this his long jump of 8.03m broke Adam McMullen’s Liverpool Harriers Long jump record.

Tim’s performances were:

100m 10.40   999pts

LJ 8.03 1068pts

SP 13.71 711pts

HJ 2.13m   925pts

400m 48.92 865pts

110mH 14.59 900pts

DT 44.12 749pts

PV 4.67 810pts

JT   54.60 657pts

1500m   5:17.98 461pts

With an average 2nd day, there is potential for Tim to improve on that score later in the year.
