The Wednsday meeting saw a huge turnout of our younger athletes as they chased performances for YDL lower selection.

An excellent turnout of endurance athletes turned out in Cheshire where Tom Rodgerson and Faye O’Hare were our fastest runners

BUCS T&F champs – Sat/Sun/Mon 29th, 30th April and 1st May – Sportcity
Our students made the short trip to Manchester for the bank holiday meeting. We had three athletes winning individual medals, Zoe Price – Silver – Hammer, Stef Driscoll – Bronze – 800m, Emma Alderson – Bronze – 400m .

YDL Upper – Sun 30th Apr – Wavertree
A very damp day at Wavertree for our opening YDL Upper match and our team finished 4th, missing out on 3rd place by a handful of points. Many thanks to all the athletes who competed and in not their standard events.

Warrington Junior Open – Sun 30th April – Warrington
Warrington put on a junior competition, where a few of our younger athletes turned out.

Trafford Medal Meeting – Mon 1st May – Trafford
Another large turnout of our athletes on bank holiday Monday and a couple of exceptional middle distance performances from Evie Worrall, Holly Cross and Molly Carvell

YDL Lower – Sun 7th May – Trafford
We went into the meeting with some optimism, given the large number of athletes we had to choose from and we had a very large team out and had very few gaps. The team won the match by 30 points from Wirral, who performed well at the National final last year.
The top team only goes to the National finals and we need to continue to get large numbers out for the remaining fixtures.
The remaining fixtures are:
Trafford – Sat 3rd June, Bebington – Sat 8th July, Blackburn – Sat 22nd July

Merseyside County Champs -Sunday 14th May – Wavertree
Another huge turnout of athletes on a day that was beautiful until later in the day when the wind picked up and the rain arrived.
There were some superb performances with the highlight being Daisy Roberts equalling the club record in the U15G Pole Vault with a clearance of 2.60m
