BAL – Wigan – Sunday 4th August
The men had a great chance to get promoted to the top division, needing to finish ahead of Windsor. Despite having a strong squad, Windsor finished in third place on the day with Liverpool down in 4th and thus finishing 3rd overall. Full results HERE
UKWAL – Basingstoke – Saturday 3rd August
The ladies team went into the last match in a promotion position, but struggled to get athletes to commit and only 6 athletes made themselves available on the day. Despite a sterling effort, the girls finished 6th on the day and 5th overall. The numbers committing to our flagship team he been generally poor for sometime and the committee will discuss on how to proceed going forward. Full results HERE
EA combined events – Manchester – 3rd/4th August
Lara Taylor was our only representative and finished 11th in the U17 Hepathlon. Full results HERE
EA Senior Championships – Manchester – 27th/28th July
No medals at a very wet senior championships, but James Williams was the pick of the performers with a 4th and 5th place in the 100m and 200m resectively. Full results HERE
International Throws – Liera -3rd/4th Aug
Congratulations to Osian Jones and John Kelly, who both competed in Portugal and both smashed the club records. John Kelly threw 18.50m in the shot and Osian broke his own record in the hammer on consecutive days with 72.19m and 73.85m
Mid Lancs League – Litherland – Sat 3rd August
A lot of our athletes took advantage of a local meeting and entered as guests in the mid lancs league. Full results HERE
Youth Nations Cup – Dublin – Sat 3rd August
Congratulations to Zoe Price and Henry Nwoke who were selected for England U18 in the Youth Nations Cup. Henry ran 10.78 for 100m and Zoe threw the 3KG hammer 58.86m
Loughborough EAP meeting – 6th Aug
Anyika Onuora and Tim Duckworth both competed at Loughborough. Full results HERE
