YDL Lower – Wavertree – Sun 19th May

After a huge win in the opening match, Liverpool went into the second match at home with high expectations and a slightly stronger team than in match one.

The team came out victorious once again, but this time, the points were a lot tighter and a gap of just over 40pts was the margin. However, the big bonus was that 2nd and 3rd places from match one were reversed, which means that Liverpool have a 3pt lead after 2 matches. A reminder that just the top team goes to the national finals and something Liverpool have not achieved for a long time.

There was also a club record in the match with the U15G 4x300m Relay team running 2:54.80 – congratulations to Grace Bomba, George White, Millie Wick and Eva Spink.

National League – Nottingham – Sat 1st June

The first match in the National League took place at Nottingham and also we had reasonable numbers, we were just a few athletes short of being competitive with the top 3 teams, who were all in the top division last season.

A very strong Sheffield side won the match, with Liverpool finishing fourth.

There was however one club record, with Daisy Roberts breaking her own U17 PV record with 3.10m and getting the English Schools qualifying height. (She is bottom age at U17)
