EA U15 & U17 Championships & round up

EA U15 & U17 Championships, Bedford – 31st Aug -1st Sept

Just a handful of athletes competed at the national junior championships at Bedford, but Liverpool Harriers came away with 4 medals.

Neave McGhee opted for the 300m at this championships and in a fantastic run in the final, her strength told in the last 50m as she held on to take gold in 39.84.

Henry Nwoke came up against the extremely talented Joel Pascall-Menzie in both the 100m and 200m. Henry broke the U17 club record in both the 100m and 200m to win silver  in both events. Henry ran 10.55(+1.4) and 21.52(+1.9).Henry’s 100m time ranks him 8th on the UK U17 all time list.

Ethan Flaherty competed in the 400mH and won silver in 56.16, having caught the last hurdle when in contention for gold.

Mid Cheshire 5K -29th August

We had 10 athletes compete at the Mid Cheshire 5K, with Charlie Hulson winning in 14:21    Full Results HERE

Southport Waterloo Open – 31st August

Quite a few of our athletes made the short trip to Litherland.The standout performance was a massive PB by Cameron Scott-Allen in the Shot with 13.20. Full results HERE
