Northern League – Macclesfield – Sat 20th May

The seniors put out a strong team to Macclesfield on a very warm day and came away with a comfortable victory and with a home match to follow, prospects look good for the season

Manchester 10K – Manchester – Sun21st May

Rachel Hodgkinson, Jade Morgan and Jonny Mellor all competed in the televised event, running 34:38, 37:00 and 29.15

Loughborough International – Loughborough – Sun 21st May

We had a few athletes competing either as internationals, Loughborough or guests and KJT used this event as a warm up for Gotzis

BMC – Sportcity – Sat 27th May

Just a couple of runners entered, but Michael McCarthy ran a PB in 1500m of 3:51.94 and David Devine ran 14:28.20 over 5000m

Congratulations to David Devine who was then selected for GB at the world Para Champs in Paris.

Northern Inter Counties U15/17- York – Sat 27th May

Quite a lot of our athletes were selected to represent Merseyside over in York on yet another warm day. Holly Cross ran a very fast 800m within a second of the club record.

Congratulations to KJT who finished 2nd at Gotzis and achieved the World Champs Qualifier with a score of 6556pts and broke her own club record in the Shot.

The short trip over the water, led to our YDL Upper team finishing 4th, despite having a small team of athletes.

YDL Lower – Trafford – Sat 3rd June

Having won the opening match, the YDL lower team went over to Trafford optimistic of another good performance. The team finished second on the day behind a Wirral team who virtually filled every event and outscored us in the field by a significant margin.

We are now level on points with Wirral going into match 3, where Wirral host.

Merseyside Schools T&F champs – Bebington – Sat 10th June

Our junior athletes travelled over to Bebington looking for places in the Merseyside team English Schools

In addition Bailey Hughes competed at Cheshire and Elliott Griffiths at Lancashire Champs. Elliott’s 1.77m HJ pus him in the top 6 in the country.

BMC – Loughborough – Sat 10th June

Steph Driscoll returned to action in the 800m finishing 2nd in the A race in 2:04.21. Sam Flaherty improved his 1500m to 3:56.89

National League – Bedford – Sun 11th June

A smallish squad travelled over to Bedford to compete on another warm day in Bedford. A big thanks to the athletes who chipped in and did extra events allowing us to finish 4th in the match.

If we can get a few more athletes out for the match at Yeovil, we could push for promotion with a home match to finish.

Emma Alderson got an invitation to compete in Europe on the back of her run in Manchester. Emma ran 54.90 on Sat and then 54.53 on Sunday
