World Indoor Championships – Birmingham
Katarina Johnson-Thompson wins gold in the pentathlon at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham.
Huge congratulation to Kat who has won her first senior global gold medal. Kat started the with the 60mH in 8.36 which put her outside the medal positions, but a 1.91m HJ and an indoor PB of 12.68m in the shot propelled her up to second at the mid session interval.
A 6.50m Long Jump propelled Kat into the lead and then came through on the last lap in the 800m to win the final event in 2:16.63
