Northern Junior Championships – Wavertree – 7th & 8th June
Liverpool Harriers had the honour of hosting the Northern U13/U15/U17 champs and despite some torrential downpours, the event was a success and we picked up 6 medals on day 1:
Gold – Rebecca Murphy U17W 3000m, Kristen Badrock U15G Jav
Silver – Holly Cross U17W 1500m
Bronze – India Bates U15W Jav(under age), Elliott Griffiths U17M HJ, Alice Jones U17W 100m
Day 2:
Gold – Max Taylor U17M 3000m, Holly Cross U17W 800m
Silver – Alice Jones U17W 80m H, Elliott Griffiths U17M LJ, Daisy Roberts U17W PV

Merseyside Schools T&F Championships, Bebington – 14th June
There was a huge turnout of Liverpool Harriers athletes, with places for English Schools up for grabs.

Combined Events – Birmingham Uni – 13th/14th June
Congratulations to Lucy Woodward who smashed her PB in the Heptathlon and broke 5000pts for the first time.
100mH – 15.02, SP – 10.91, HJ – 1.60m, 200m – 25.89, LJ – 5.38, JT – 36.97, 800m – 2:18.15
Total points – 5094
Northern League – Wavertree – 22nd June
Match 2 of the Northern League with high hopes of improving on the third place finish in match 1.
The results were very close in the end with 20pts separating the top 3, but it was Wirral winning again from Deeside and Liverpool a close 3rd.

Trafford Open Meeting – 21st June
The stand out performance was in U15G 1500m, where Daisy Rushton ran 4.46.54

Northern Sen & U20 Champs – Derby – 28th/29th June
We took a small, but select group of athletes over to a hot and windy Derby.
Medallists:
Sadie Madigan – Silver U20W 100mH & silver U20W LJ, Gold U20W TJ
Dan Elliott – Gold U20M TJ
Ethan Dunn – Bronze SM 3000m
Jack McLoughlin – Silver SM 400m
Meg Corker – Silver SW 100mH
Emma Alderson – Bronze SW 400m and SW 800m

YDL Lower – Preston – 29th June
Match 3 took place at Preston with the YDL lower team hopeful of following up with wins in matches 1 & 2.
The team lead from the start and won the match by 70 points. A fifth placed finish in the final match would be sufficient to make the National finals.
Yet again, the U13G 4x100m extended their UK lead with 52.9

National League – Wavertree – 5th July
Another disappointing day for our senior team, despite being at home struggled to get athletes out, with the ladies track team very depleted and no hurdlers on the men’s side.
Despite some good individual performances, the team yet again finished 5th with Sale winning the match.

YDL Upper – Trafford – 6th July
A very depleted YDL Upper side competed at Trafford in the final match of the league.
The team finished fourth on the day and third in the league. It was very tight overall, but we believe North Wales pipped Trafford for a place at the National Finals

English Schools T&F Champs – Birmingham – 11th/12th July
17 athletes travelled to Birmingham for Merseyside, Lancashire and Dubai and there were lots of outstanding performances and personal bests.
Kristen Badrock was the standout performance in the very last field event, picking up a bronze medal in the junior girls Javelin, adding 2m to her club record with a throw of 38.72m

Jack O’Farrell
Jack is flying at the moment and has been running in the BMC and across Ireland and smashing his PB’s everything he competes.
1500m – 3.42.60 at Loughborough
Mile – 4.02.80 in Belfast
5000m – 13.56.88 in Dublin
Jade Morgan
Jade ran some quick times on the track. In France, she smashed her PB over 5000m with 16:52.48 and at the British Champs over 10,000m Jade finished 12th in 34.46.19
