Northern League – Wavertree Sun 10th July

In match 3 of the Northern League, our senior team had a home match, but again struggled to get athletes out due to holidays and illness and finished 4th on the day, however those who did compete put a great shift in. With one match to go in early August at Wirral, the team are in 4th position in the league and are seemingly in a position to retain their position in the league for next season.

National League – Bournemouth Sat 2nd July

A much weakened team, due to injury, unavailability, English Schools and the difficulty of getting to Bournemouth meant we only had half the normal numbers to challenge for the top spot.

Despite everyone chipping in and doing multiple events, we finished 5th on the day with the highlight being Zoe Price adding 3cm to her club record in the hammer with 59.94m

The last match of the season is the grand final at Bedford on Sunday 21st August. With the points being corrected again from Sportcity( we won!!), we have a chance of promotion.

The top 3 teams get promoted and the fourth team go into a paper match. We are 3pts behind Sale and Tonbridge who currently sit in 3rd place.
