North West Counties Road Relays
The North West Counties Road Relays were held at Delamere Forrest this year, and we had an excellent turnout across all age groups. Full results links can be found HERE.

U13 Girls
The A team, finished 6th overall and 2nd county team in 44:41: 1 – Faye O’hare (2) 13:30, 2 – Tamzin Dentith (2) 15:03, 3 – Lauren Duthie (6) 16:08

The U13 Boys finished 5th overall but were 1st county team in 40:32: 1 – Charlie Teare (5) 13:15, 2 – Gabriel Meehan (8) 13:58, 3 – Matthew Brennan (5) 13:19

U15 Girls
The U15 Girls A team finished 1st overall in 38:40: 1 – Ella McNiven (2) 12:46, 2 – Katie Miller (1) 13:16, 3 – Emma Gordon (1) 12:38

Ethan Flaherty ran the first leg in an incomplete team (27) 15:42
U17 Women
The U17 Women’s team women won their event in 38:54: 1 – Faye Ireland (1) 12:34, 2 – Bethan Strange (1) 12:55, 3 – Jessica Cook (1) 13:25

The U17 Men ran the senior men’s course of 6.4k and did well to finish 9th and 2nd County team in 1:20:31: 1 – Joe Ford (3) 23:42, 2 – Kyle Dentith (3) 25:00, 3 – Jay Prescot (9) 31:49
There was an incomplete team of 1 – Andrew Grant (16) 27:39, 2 – Owen Simpson (15) 28:56
Senior Women
The Senior Women’s team finished 2nd overall and 1st county team in 1:21:10: 1 – Abbie Oliver (24) 29:10, 2 – Hannah Delaney (5) 26:01, 3 – Sarah Howard (2) 25:59
The B team were 17th in 1:28:39: 1 – Ailbhe McDaid (16) 27:56, 2 – Michelle Murphy (23) 32:01, 3 – Charlotte Wilson-Dewhurst (17) 28:42

It was good to see some iof the U20 Men running with the Senior Men.

City of Salford 10K
Well done to Rachael Burns who was 3rd lady in the City of Salford 10K. Rachael placed 22nd overall in 36:23. Andy McQue also ran a PB to place 11th in 34:26.

Wigan 10K
Degene Gezimu travelled to Wigan the Sunday before last and set a new course record in the Wigan 10K. Degene won the race in a new record time of 31:26.

Wirral 10K and Half Marathon
BTR Liverpool hosted the annual Wirral 10K and Half Marathon on Sunday with a number of senior athletes turning out and running well.
In the 10K Degene Gezimu took the win for a second year with 31:09 and Andy McQue ran a PB for the second successive week to place 3rd in 33:49. Sophie Whiteside broke the 36 minute mark to set a new PB and finish 2nd lady in 35:48.
In the Half Marathon, Paul Sankey came home in 3rd in a time of 75:47 and was given 2nd due to the overall winner taking part in the Whistle Stop Tour event.
