U13G – National Road Relay Champions

English Road Relays – Sutton Park. Birmingham. – Sat 9th October.

Congratulations to our 2 teams of U13 Girls finished 1st and 2nd.

A team – Holly Cross, Isabella Doran and Bailey Hughes.

B team – Erin Fay, Valerie Teare and Lexie Ellis.

In addition Holly Cross ran the fastest leg of the day.

A tremendous achievement by the 6 who have been well supported by not only their coaches but also parents who turned up.

The under 13 boys finished 10th but Charlie Rigby was unfortunate to be tripped at the start and although cut and bruised got up and carried on. His team mates were Max Taylor and Sonny Cassell.

The U15 Boys of Max Webster/Rhys Croasdale and Oscar Kewley just missed out on the medals in 4th place.
In addition the B team who finished 40th who were Ben Leatherbarrow, James Evans, and Bobby Burney.

The U15 Girls finished on 36th place with Phoebe Melia, Jasmine Madden and Beatrix Cole in the team.

The U17 Men – A team of Ben Taylor, Liam McCay and Alex Kelly finishing in 43rd place. Both Liam and Ben were running underage so they will be in the same age group next year.

The B team were one short however Ben Roach and Iwan Williams competed.

After entering an U17 Ladies team it was disappointing that only Grace Tobin ran. Well done.

In the senior event we had Faye O’Hare, Abbey Oliver, Fiona Corrick and Jade Morgan who finished 22nd.

We had an incomplete B team of Katie Miller, Niamh Donnelly and Isabel Leyland. Big thanks to Janette Oliver for getting the ladies together.

Of those Faye, Isabel, Fiona, Katie and Niamh are U20 so hopefully with the XC this winter and the hopefully bodes well.

In the men’s team – it was nearly the same team but with Hamza Ali replacing Alistair Rutherford who had work commitments.

The team finished 33rd out of 75 teams.

The remaining men’s team were Jon-Jo Doherty , Sam Flaherty, David Devine, Ethan Dunn, Thomas Rogerson and Hamza Ali.

Well done everyone.
