UKWAL & BAL

UKWAL – Kingston – Sat 6th July

With both the UKWAL and BAL teams competing in the South East within an hour of each other, the teams travelled down together. A decent turnout of 13 athletes turned out for the second meeting, after finishing 3rd in the first meeting with just 8 athletes. Peterborough withdrew before the start of the meeting.

The girls put in a terrific performance finishing in 3rd place, just 1 point behind local team Herne Hill who turned out 20 athletes. Bedford won the meeting once again, having tied the first meeting. That puts Liverpool in 2nd place and a promotion position.

Current points – Bedford 15.5pts, Liverpool 12pts, Herne Hill 11pts, Milton Keynes 10.5pts, Reading 10pts.

The last match is on Saturday 3rd August at Basingstoke, with Reading the local team. We need to get as many athletes out as possible to try and secure promotion, although we are aware it is holiday season.
