YDL lower – Blackpool Sat 30th July
Congratulations to our YDL lower side who have been promoted back to the top division of the YDL as champions.
Having won the first three matches, they were clear at the top of the table from Blackburn. However due to the timing in the holidays we missed a lot of athletes who were away and it was nice to see some new faces in the team.
On the day, the club finished a close second to Blackburn.

Northern League – Wirral Sat 6th Aug
Congratulations to our Northern League team who retained their league status finishing 2nd to a strong home team.
The club were sitting in joint 4th place going into the match alongside Manchester Harriers and had to finish ahead of them to stay up.
There were several stand out performances including Matthew Liu jumping 7m in the long jump

National League Grand Final – Bedford Sunday 21st Aug
The National League team went into the grand final match with an outside chance of promotion, however due to holidays, injuries and unavailability we were nowhere near the numbers required to be competitive, especially on the ladies side.
The league was split into two with the top 8 teams in the championship match and most aiming for promotion. This meant the standard was much higher than the previous matches.
The team finished in 8th place, not too far behind 5th place and credit to the athletes that turned out as we had quite a few A and B string wins, but just didn’t have the numbers to back it up.
