The YDL National Finals will take place at Wavertree on Sat 6th September and Sun 7th September.
This is the first time we have hosted these finals featuring the top clubs in the United Kingdom and some of the leading athletes in the country.
Saturday see the YDL Lower competition with the U13 & U15 athletes.
The competing teams are almost identical to last year, although Edinburgh beat Giffnock in the Scottish playoff match.
Blackheath & Bromley
Cheltenham & County
City of York
Edinburgh
Liverpool Harriers
Rugby & Northampton
Woodford Green
Last year we finished fourth in a very close battle with York, with Blackheath winning and we are expecting a similar result this year, but closing in on the top 3.
Spectators are welcome, but there is a small charge for entry. Hot and cold food will be on sale. Electronic timing is in place. No dogs allowed on site.
We have a large stand to accommodate spectators and grass banking to pitch tents.
Sunday sees the YDL Upper final for U17 & U20 athletes. Unfortunately we did not qualify for these finals – we finished third behind North Wales.
The competing teams are:
Blackheath & Bromley
City of York
Harrow
North Wales
Rugby & Northampton
Team Avon
Timetables are available on the YDL website
