British Championships – Manchester -4th & 5th September
Congratulations to James Williams who picked up a silver medal in the 200m at the British Championships in 21.01(w). James been going really on the track since events resumed with some very quick times over the shorter sprints and a medal is just rewards. Steph Driscoll and Max Wharton were our only other competitors with both making their finals. Steph finished 7th in a seasons best 61.88 for 400mH, whilst Max finished 8th in the 800m.

Kat has been busy competing in various meetings in Europe, bringing her SB down to 13.57 over 100mH in Brussels and a first competition in the long jump in Stockholm with 6.52m
James Williams ran a very quick but windy 10.27(5.6) for 100m and 20.87(2.3) for 200m in Nuneaton. Joe Wigfield reduced his 1500m PB down to 3.43.41 at the Trafford BMC meeting and Steph Driscoll showed her multi eventing skills with a 2:14.44 over 800m. Liam McCay took 20 seconds of his 1500m to run a top class time of 4:14.52 also at Trafford and Chris Brown improved his javelin PB to 53.11
Road racing got underway with the mid Cheshire 5K taking place under restricted conditions. Tom Rodgerson was our first runner home n 15:14, with Jon Jo Doherty, Ryan Whiston Faye O’Hare, Emily Gray also competing
